"As soon as I'd finished the 'Knee Deep In Freedom' project I decided to dust off the trusty telecaster and began recording snippets.

Pretty soon I had over twenty new bits of music, so I listed and numbered them and used a 20-sided dice to determine which idea to work on next. Music by random numbers.

In a matter of weeks I'd created 'Tide Star', using live bass guitar and a lot more of my voice and guitar playing.

I stopped working on it to gain some perspective and never went back to it, mainly because my friends said it sounded finished. I'm still unconvinced! Some good ideas didn't get the attention they deserved.

Ultimately, 'Bounce Around' got mauled to death by some witless industry 'critic' on ITV and I moved on to pastures new"
