"When we came to mix this for the Bristol UK album, Phil Golf held up his hands and declared that he couldn't work with it. We'd filled up the tape with bar-room pianos, loads of guitars and tambourines and stuff, really slap dash, barely tuned. So Phil left the studio and we mixed it ourselves. It ended up having a real acoustic vibe to it, really warm-sounding. It also has tons of reverb on the vocals." |
