"These lyrics are about optimism and believing in fate, like a follow-up to City Of Gold. None of us were totally convinced by this one, but we stayed with it. On the Raindancing video, Roy bust a string right before his one-and-only solo. I attempted to 'sing' the solo really badly and thankfully he changed guitars in time to bail me out. If we'd put the same amount of work into some of our earlier tunes as we did with this, we could have made more of the ideas we had back then. As it stands, this was the white elephant along with Big Black Sky. All sweat and no subtlety." |
